“I have been looking at a Whirlpool OTR microwave. I have read, the fan starts up automatically, and you can not turn it off, when heating something on the stove below. Does this unit do this also? I want to control myself if vent fan is on.”

This microwave is known to have the defect with the fan starting up and you are unable to turn it off. Hence the cheap price.
