Questiondoes this Samsung 1.7 Cu Ft Microwave ME17R7021ES, need to be vented. My contractor says no. I can't find info on this.

- Answer This is just my "opinion". If you are going to mount over your range and you want to use the exhaust fan function , then yes it must be vented. If you are not going to use the exhaust fan function, then you would not need to vent the microwave. We use the exhaust fan and it works great. Wish I had done some more research on lighting feature. They do not light up the top of my range as bright as I expected. I am researching different or brighter lighting options. Hope this helps!

- Answer One light bulb. With two level brightness.. high->low>off. High is not bad. I like it. You can easily remove the panel and replace the bulb to any wattage bulb.

- Answer No, but eventually it will char up and brown. I would use it until it breaks or catches on fire but that's me. When people ask about, just tell them that microwaves are not good for drying out weed. Their reaction will be priceless...lol
