“Is it a MUST for this to be installed below a cabinet or can it just be mounted on the wall?”

• Not sure, I had Best Buy install it. But, I am sure that you can ook up the manual on line and in it, you may be able to rotate teh fan motor so it does not have to have and external exhaust. That is what I was able to do with my previous Samsung Over the range Microwave. Mind you, that this model does have a light underneath and exhasut vents.

• It has a wall bracket (or you could use the one if you are replacing an old one) It has 2 screws that go to the cabinet.
