A: AnswerI just bought this microwave last month. The cooktop lights are 20 watt halogen lights, that have the two pronged type fittings, not your normal screw-in bulbs that older microwaves has. They run very hot, and are a soft-white color. Luckily, I was able to find some LED replacements on Amazon, that are bright white, and are actually cool to the touch.Answered by JohnG

Great slim microwave
We have limited space in our kitchen for a microwave and this has been great how it minimize the space with all the great features. Has dimming lights and 2 fans for the smoke when cooking. I also love how it auto opens as it makes it feels a lot more premium! One of the things that I love about different microwaves is the inside as many don't seeing to pay attention. But Whirlpool did.
