“I have a 40 inch ONN tv. Will this work with the tv? I do not know if you need a certain brand or any will hook up. Also it is not a WIFI tv.”

I would say it will work with your tv. There are 2 ways you can connect it. I have the sound bar attached with toslink cable to my Insignia tv.
