A:Answer Samsung' s website lists this model as having a 22 watt operating power consumption. For comparison, the 200 watt Samsung system that is priced usually 25% less than this model uses 130 watts for the sub, leaving 70 total watts for the sound bar. Most TV's larger than 32" have about 20 watts worth of speaker in them, however, that doesn't mean that these won't sound superior in comparison. Speaker construction and magnet size, as well as cabinet construction can create far superior sound in comparison to say a cheap paper coned speaker w/ a small magnet in a thin plastic TV cavity. Look at more comparative information, and listen to them in person.
