“If hard wired to the TV, will the cable/satellite remote change the volume on this sound bar or do I need to use the remote that comes with it?”

• Specifically bought this soundbar so that my Samsung TV's remote would also control it. Hooked up via the optical cable and my TV's remote controls turning on/off the soundbar and the volume. I have a Sony BD player hooked up to the TV & its Sony remote also turns all on/off and volume up/down, so your cable/satellite remote should work fine.

• The cable remote controls the volume. I have a Tivo, so the channels go through that remote.
