You would probably use the Optical cable that come with the soundbar and connect it to the back of the TV if it has an optical port. If not, the sound bar also has provisions for using an Analog Cable. There is no HDMI port on the soundbar. If you have a optical port on a DVR that you get from Comcast, Dish or DirecTV, you can plug the optical cable from the sound bar to the back of the DVR. I did this on mine and the sound was best using this method. If your new TV supports bluetooth, you can connect the soundbar to the TV using bluetooth.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Use an optical cable
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's has hdmi, optical and other inputs. I prefer optical and it works well on my Samsung tv. You just select the input you want the sound bar to monitor and view it on a center display on the bar. That's all there is to it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have optics to the ps4 and HDMI to the HDMI arc port on my tv, HDMI arc is to control the sound bar with your tv remote or your cable box remote, but this model doesn't have a HDMI port. Definitely worth paying extra for it so you're not using two remotes.
