The sound bar is limited to a few wired connection types or blue tooth. If you have a audio device (cd player) with hdmi, optical, 3.5mm (headphone) connection, or wireless (blue tooth). A lot of cd players usually have a 3.5mm for heaphones that could be connected to this sound bar. You can purchase a wireless cd at best buy for about $12-16.00, but that would be personal preference on how you would like to connect it.
