The correct model number for this model is the RF261BEAESR, which has both an automatic ice maker in the freezer and an internal water dispenser in the refrigerator compartment. However, it's fine to remove the filter and turn off the ice maker if you don't plan to connect it to water. Since you don't plan to use the ice and water features, you may want to consider the RF260BEAESR which is very similar to the RF261BEAESR, but doesn't have the internal water dispenser. I haven't heard of the one with the extra number in it, but I have the model number that you put first and I do not have a hookup for the water/ice and it is just fine. They told me that was okay as well.
