I'm not 100 percent sure but I think the upper mount is slotted. I had to remove the doors to get it in my house and I wanna say the mount can be moved over a bit. 3 screws hold the cover on the top then you can see the mounting plate if the holes for the plate screws are slotted you should be able to move it to center the door. Again not 100 percent but 3 screws and a quick peek should tell you. Hope it helps.
