Dolby atmos is only recognized over hdmi as a direct source input, usually from 4k dvd player...netflix technically doesn't count as Dolby atmos supported content even though the video is ultra 4k.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.netflix only has 5.1 surround sound,i only get dolby atmos throuhg my blue ray player an certain blue ray movies
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes and no. Only some of the content offered by Netflix offer Dolby Atmos: https://help.netflix.com/en/node/64066 In order to ensure Dolby Atmos plays from your UHD and/or regular Blu ray player (or even gaming console; i.e., XBOX One S or X, or PS4 or PS4 Pro), you will need to connect the player to the soundbard using a regular HDMI cable. Then you will need to connect the HDMI Arc port from the soundbar to your TV primary HDMI port. This allows for the soundbar to sync the video with the sound. Once that 'handshake' is accomplished, you will see the blue light on the soundbar which indicates Dolby Atmos is active. Again, this only pertains to video and audio sources which are designed to support Dolby Atmos. Not all content supports Dolby Atmos.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Far as I know Netflix does not support Atmos sound as of yet. Hook up your 4k DVD player to the sound bars HDMI and then hook up the soundar to the TV with ARC. Here is a list of Atmos DVD's https://www.dolby.com/us/en/experience/dolby-atmos/bluray-and-streaming/us.pdf
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Currently Atmos over ARC channel isn't supported with this soundbar. This is not a samsung thing, most companies don't support atmos over arc. Unfortunately netflix is only supporting ATMOS on select LG tvs and the xbox one x (not sure about the s), which means that there is no solution for you with your current setup unless you're willing to shell out the money for a new xbox. Sorry.
