Q: QuestionCannot get subwoofer to work on my Samsung hw-850. Blue light is steady and vol up max. So far I don't hear $800 worth sound from just bar itself. I've repeated setup x3 & searched tv menu for help but no success. Is it compatible with Sony xbr65x750d?

• A:Answer Plug your 4k DVD player directly into your sound bar HDMI 1 input then plug your arc from the sound bar to the tv and you will hear $900 in sound!! Took me 6 months to finally figure it out. Your sound bar will display Dolby atmos and has a blue led on the right corner when Dolby atmos is playing. Also there is a software update that I highly recommend. You will need to download the Samsung multiroom app from the play store.

Q: QuestionCan someone verify that with the most recent firmware updates have added full DTS support? I have read some articles that this was only added to the HW-K950 5.1.4 system. Thanks.

• A:Answer The new software give you DTS 5.1 audio, not DTSX, and increases the volume to 100 instead of 50. It works and takes about 15 minutes to ddownload and set up on the soundbar

Q: QuestionLoved hearing this at the store but does it have the incredible effects for xbox or any movie? I saw a review where a guy mentioned he couldn't find netflix compatible movies. Seems pointless if the awesome some didn't come thru on everything played.

• A:Answer Think you have to upgrade ur Netflix account to the 4K plan. that's the membership that carries Dolby atmos.

Q: QuestionI also purchased the rear speakers SWA-8000S but have been unable to pair them to the HW-K850 via Bluetooth. I have called Samsung and been told by one tech that they are not compatible. Does anyone know of rear speakers that are compatible?

Q: QuestionI'm using and Apple 4K TV. I cannot get Dolby Atmos to work on the soundbar. I have the apple TV connected directly to the sound bar and from the sound bar to the TV. I've changed from arc on TV to non arc on TV. No matter what HDMI port, no joy. Help!

• A:Answer My TV supports Dolby Vision and Atmos but would not push Atmos to this sound bar from the built in apps like Netflix or Prime. This soundbar does not support Atmos through ARC. My Apple 4K would not push Atmos to the soundbar while connected to the TV with ARC. I purchased a splitter (HD Fury) to send the sound from the Apple TV directly to the sound bar, and the video directly to the TV and it works great. I recently purchased a Samsung HW-Q80RZA and it receives Atmos through ARC. My Apple 4K TV is now connected to the TV through HDMI and it will push Atmos through ARC without using the splitter. A 4K Netflix plan will not show Atmos in the description of the movie if the connected hardware does not support it, it will only show 5.1 as the available audio. When all of the connected hardware, including HDMI cables, supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, Netflix will show Vision and Atmos in the movie description. Hope this answers a lot of other questions.

Q: QuestionThis sound bar is is very quiet when watching T.V threw telus optic i can have the bar volume maxed out . Its really bugging me and i want to return it. I have updated the firmware and it still is unexceptable for a 1000 bar.

• A:Answer I use an optical input and have not experienced any issues with the sound level. It is very loud on even low volume settings. It could be your sound source.

Q: QuestionI just purchased this soundbar and I cannot get the sound to go above 50.It seems from level 50 to 100 the sound is the same. How can I get the sound to increase above level-50. This is on both a 4K TV & 4K DVD player

• A:Answer Plug your 4k dvd player directly into the soundbar to get atmos...it has to be a direct connection via hdmi. Once you do, when you play a 4k Dolby atmos DVD the sound bar will scroll Dolby atmos and the blue led will light up in the right corner of the sound bar. Down load the Samsung multiroom app, pair your soundbar to the app using wifi and update to the new available firmware for the sound bar. It will increase your volume to 100 and also give you DTS 5.1 audio format.

Q: Questionhi guy i brought this sound bar paired it with lg oled33b7a when i want to play dolby atmos content from Netflix it dosen't play atoms audio, is this a commn problem or it only play atmos cocntent from a dvd or a blu ray player and not from tv arc hdmi ?

• A:Answer Dolby atmos is only recognized over hdmi as a direct source input, usually from 4k dvd player...netflix technically doesn't count as Dolby atmos supported content even though the video is ultra 4k.

Q: QuestionWill I be happy with the sound quality while streaming Pandora? Can I jam some System of a Down or some kind of metal loud enough? Or am I asking too much from this soundbar?

• A:Answer Has Wi-Fi music so Yes. This thing is a beast! It's a Cinema and a Party. The Samsung MultiRoom app has an 11band EQ that is very Legit. Endless music. No connectivity blips or burps. Had mine 2wks. Remote has subwoofer gain as well as Master. Blue Tooth. 2HDMI. Wireless Sub. Loud. Clean. Can turn on from app. Sleep. Alarm. 5 Stars.

Q: QuestionI recently purchase the K850 and can not get the volume to exceed 49 for a max ? I have it attached to a Samsung UHDTV 9000. How can I get the max to 100 like in the store ?

• A:Answer Download the Samsung multiroom app from play store and connect your sound bar to the app. Then download the new Samsung firmware in the update section of the app. You will get 100 volume and DTS5.1 audio function. Press the up arrow on the sound bar remote for 5 seconds and it will enable the wifi setting to pair the app and the soundbar together. Youll have to wait for the push to sync function to fail first for the wifi set up. You can use either sound bar pairing mode.

Q: QuestionWith the HW- K850 can you add rear speakers if your TV is not a Samsung? The problem I've found is the extra speakers must go through the Multi room app. And if the TV is not putting out the sound via WiFi then it doesn't work. Any help would be awesome
