Yes it does use enough as the drum is side ways all of the clothes get a chance to roll around in it. Comparing a front loader and top loader is apples and almonds.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a top loader also, and the only way to get more water is to wash everything on the bedding cycle. You can also try starting the machine, letting everything get wet/heavy. Turn the power off, then on again. It weighs the load at a heavier weight and adds more water. I'm shopping for a front loader now.
