Most washers in America don't measure capacity by weight. I know most of the European washers will go by a weight rating first and a cubic foot capacity second. But to give you an idea, this washer will hold a standard king size comforter, a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, and 2 pillowcases. Or it will hold up to 22 pairs of blue jeans. The wieght between the two loads is completely different, but it's the same capacity.
