Yes, you can. It's described on p. 22 of the manual for those who don't want to use the hot water supply hose. Just hook up the cold water intake hole to your faucet. Cap the hot water intake with the water intake cap. Then select Cold for the water temperature. You will control the temperature of the water at the sink.

You need a hook up for hot and cold Water with shut-off valves. just in case anything happens in an emergency you could shut off the water Direct. When installing do you actually need to purchase a hot and cold hose for the machine. You will also need somewhere for the water to drain
