• The sound is fine. I'm using the set in my bedroom so it's not hooked up to any amp or soundbar. Since I watch it at night mostly I don't have the sound cranked up greatly but it is crystal clear. My cable company doesn't offer 4K viewing yet nor have I purchased a 4K Blue Ray player as of yet but just watching the cable TV or playing Blue Ray or DVD movies it still offers a great looking picture. I'm truly satisfied with the purchase and will probably upgrade my Blue Ray player to a 4K version once the prices fall on both the players and the 4K movies.

• Barely loud enough if you turn it all the way up, because of the rear facing speakers. Also it only optical or bluetooth audio output.
