QuestionDoes this have a smart remote?

- Answer Depends on what you call smart.. This 6300 level model does not get to use the Universal Remote features that the 6400 and up models have. The remote does have a minimal number of buttons that require pointing it at various parts of the TV go access different functions. So, for example, you can't change from channel 5 to channel 23 by just pushing button 2 followed by pushing button 3. Not so smart for the OTA viewer. You can't change from one input to another with a minimal number of pushes, or turn captions on/off with a single button push, either. Everything you need to do requires calling up a menu on the TV and several 'scroll and choose' actions. You might say that the TV is smart, but the remote is just a few buttons in a box.

- Answer Where are you getting those totally false "requirements" from? It only utilizes (not requires) a display which meets HDR standards. This TV does. In fact this TV is one of the best due to it's low input lag when gaming. If you're looking for a TV to meet the Dolby standard, you'll be spending considerably more money. Not to mention the Dolby standard is going to go the way of 3D TVs. Remember when that was all the rage? Where is it now....lol Dolby standard requires specialized hardware. You're going to pay dearly if you want it. There is no 40" model that meets it currently.

- Answer Heard from the store that KU6300 is 2016 and UN40JU6500FXZA is 2015 models - but everything else remains the same - hence the same price.

- Answer 2160p looks amazing. 1080p looks really, really good. If you're considering a new TV, 4k would be the way to go...if it is in your budget. You can watch both 2160p and 1080p on a 4k but you are obviously limited to 1080p on an FHD TV as opposed to a UHD TV. In the near future there will be a tremendous amount of 4k content available via netflix, 4k blu ray as well as others. It would be a shame not be able to take advantage of this once available.

- Answer Check out myTifi on the App Store. I've been using it for years. Works great. BUT 2016 models like this one, don't have all the features implemented YET. It still works 1000 times better than the joke of a remote included with the TV. Good luck.

- Answer First, sorry you have Comcast. Me too, and they suck. Having said that, this unit works perfectly with them. In fact, your Comcast remote will control this TV too. Be aware though, Comcast has ZERO 4K content, at this tIme. When they do, as I'm sure you know, they're going to charge more for it.

- Answer It does, BUT ONLY if one of your sources involves the coaxial TV input. Otherwise no. That, btw, is the way ALL manufacturers do it today. At least until you get to the 1500+ price point.

- Answer This tv works with Fios. No need for any adapters. Just screw in a coax cable from wall to coax connector on back of tv. The tv has a built in digital tuner and it also broadcasts in HD on select channels.

- Answer The Samsung KU6300 supports HDR10, but doesn't support Dolby Vision. It doesn't have a 10-bit panel, but an 8-bit panel instead. It doesn't have a wide color gamut compared to other displays with HDR, which is disappointing. "MOTION BLUR Response Time: 18.7 ms Overshoot: 0.0 ms Backlight: picture The motion blur is good, but not great. The response time is favorable, and the trail that is behind the logo has an average length that is faint. It does have PWM flickering, but it only occurs when the back light is below 10 out of 20." "INPUT LAG 1080p @ 60Hz: 19.8 ms 1080p With Interpolation: 109.9 ms 1080p @ 60Hz Outside Game Mode: 122.4 ms 1080p @ 60Hz @ 4:4:4: 36.7 ms 4k @ 60Hz: 20.4 ms 4k @ 60Hz @ 4:4:4: 36.7 ms 4k @ 60Hz + HDR: 20.4 ms 4k @ 60Hz @ 4:4:4 + HDR: 36.7 ms Excellent for fast pace competitive gaming, it will definitely give you an advantage over other gamers. - Answer Comcast doesn't have 4K content (yet). If you put on Netflix, it should notify you about content they have that is in 4K (i.e. Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones). If you have an older HDMI cable, you should buy a new cable with 4K quality. You may not notice a difference now, as older HDMI cables have limited 4K capabilities and 4K isn't big on the market yet, but as it continues to grow your current HDMI cable (if older) would not be able to show you the true content of 4K. The cables can be a bit pricey, but worth it. Look for Monster Cables with 4K; should range around $60 dollars or so.

- Answer It's a 60Hz TV natively. You won't find a 120Hz native TV in 4k at this price range and size. As a tip, if it says 120HZ (effective) then it's 60.
