2160p looks amazing. 1080p looks really, really good. If you're considering a new TV, 4k would be the way to go...if it is in your budget. You can watch both 2160p and 1080p on a 4k but you are obviously limited to 1080p on an FHD TV as opposed to a UHD TV. In the near future there will be a tremendous amount of 4k content available via netflix, 4k blu ray as well as others. It would be a shame not be able to take advantage of this once available.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1080p on a smaller sized TV is great. The bigger the size the more pixels you need to make images sharper. If you closely at a 30 inch 1080 TV the pixels are about the same size as a 4k 60 inch. If you stand close to the TV you can make out the pixels. It's even more important that you receive 4k transmissions. There isn't any here in Hilo,Hi.Yet they sell 4K TV's?This isn't well known & no store tells anybody that the only 4k is on 4K blue ray players.A handful of them too.
