Is there a workaround to make compatable with non-Samsung Tvs ? I am only able to connect with my Samsung TV.

I connected mine to my vizio TV w/no problems using the optical out from the TV. 1 (included in the box) wire from soundbar to TV was all it took.

We are having a terrible time connecting with a Vizio. I don't know why, it seems like we have the HDMI cable, we have the optic cable, but the sound bar just isn't finding the TV. Spent a frustrating evening on the phone with support, and nothing came of it.

It should connect to any flat panel tv. There are multiple ways to connect. The optic hook up is best, but there are other ways to hook it up to your TV.
