If you have cable TV and use hdmi 2 as your default, your TV will load up to regular TV without ads or malware. If you're just using it for internet TV programming and don't have a feed for regular TV, even an hdmi antenna hooked up, then you'll have to set your TV to another internet TV channel so when you start the set up it won't go to the backwards ridden channels.
