Hello Sam. You should be able to connect your DVD and VHS player to this television as long as you already have the tricolor (yellow red and white or yellow black and red) cable. You connect one end to the television in the applicable slot and you connect the other end of the cables to your DVD or VHS player.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Standard output from any garden variety DVD or VHS player is Video, Left Audio and Right Audio. The Video RCA plug are Yellow, Right Channel RCA plug is Red, and the Left channel RCA plug is White ( on VERY rare occasions Black, and even rarer BLUE). Just plug in the Yellow and Red in the correct plugs and whatever is left is the Left Channel.
