It may have to do with an "Ambient Lighting" selection in the menuing system...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Rich - check the eco solution under settings and look for the ambient light detection. If this is on, it will automatically dim your tv based on the light settings of your room. Turn this off so that the tv doesnt get darker when you turn your room lights off. You can also change the picture from standard to dynamic, movie or natural. The standard picture applies eco solution settings automatically.
