Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a similar model to this one (the smart one with multiple load dispenser). I replaced my 12 year old Samsung front loader that took 58 min (normal) to approximately 115 min (steam or heavy duty). So, I was pretty shocked that a normal load takes approximately an hour and a half. I think the reason is because of the impeller design. Front loaders use gravity and agitators use an arm to “scrub” the clothes. With the impeller, this washer simply stirs the clothes by alternating the direction of the drum and the impeller (which stirs the water, not the clothes). So, it needs more time to wash since this is a gentler method of washing the clothes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think all HE washers take this long. I just replaced a 15 year old front load washer with this and my old one also took an hour. Maybe old agitators take 30 minutes but I am not used to laundry taking under an hour.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's the same reason why driving slower saves you gas ( 55 mph is the optimal driving speed for most gas cars). You move slower but you use less energy to do it, over a distance or time you are more efficient.
