- Answer Yes. The "black" is a very pretty smooth, shiny finish with lighter striations on front and sides. The top is sparkly black around the edges. Lid is dark glass. It pairs nicely with my old steel gray SG dryer. Color not available now.

QuestionDoes this washer have a RUST issue ? On the lid where the lid attaches to washer & above the softener / detergent draw ... mine is not even 3 years old & the paint is coming off in these areas & it’s RUSTING ! HELP !

- Answer My old machine did the same. I've only had this washer for a few weeks, so I can't say for sure if it will rust. That being said, the lid, the top of the machine, and the area that the detergent/fabric softener drawer slides into are made of plastic. I don't forsee the same issues with the rusting inside the compartment or on the top of the dispenser drawer as in our older models.
