• These are WiFi connections. I have never had any cutouts. No, they cannot be hard wired.

• Hi John! The Subwoofer and Rear Speakers included with the HW-Q850A can only be connected to the soundbar with a wireless connection. You should not experience any issues with sound cutting out if you have the speakers in the same room as the soundbar, without walls or metal objects in between. ^Tim
