You need to think of all the video, audio, HDR, and everything else simply as data that needs to be transmitted from source (Apple TV, game console, DISH Receiver, etc.) to the destination (TV). Data can only get from point a to point b as fast as the slowest point in that path. So if your truly concerned about being HDMI 2.1 compatible, you need to be sure that everything not only supports it, but can also pass it through. As far as I’m aware, there’s only two possible sources that use HDMI 2.1- PS5 and the latest XBOX. Just because those two consoles have HDMI 2.1 capabilities does not mean you have to have cables and a TV that support it. It is backwards compatible and will connect and work in 4k with most HDMI cables. I’m not sure what your goal is, but chances are that whatever it is, a High Speed HDMI cable with Ethernet that supports 18 gbps, will be fine. If you do need or want to be fully HDMI 2.1 compatible your looking for an Ultra High Speed HDMI cable, not an HDMI 2.1 cable. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The soundbar has ARC HDMI and a sound in HDMI input. You can run HDMI from your source (Cable box, DVD player ect...) then from ARC to TV. I do not know if HDMI cable is 2.1 I am going to assume no. It does pass through HR 10 and Dolby vision.
