“This will replace my current slide-in. There is now 2 1/2" of counter top behind the range. Will that need to be cut out for this range? In other words is it designed to replace a freestanding as opposed to a slide-in? Thanks!”

In our application it does however we are building a center island in our kitchen we’re we will move he stove to. It is we’re our free standing stove was with minimal gap off the wall. But with the exhaust fan being in the back the microwave vent system above doesn’t clear the way we would like it to. This is why we decided on having a center island built with a full exhaust hood so we can feel safer with our grandkids around it. Other then that it’s a fantastic stove. Hope this answers your questions.
