There is no downdraft vent system included. The vents at the rear of the stove top are for cooling of the range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We installed this oven in our island replacing a downdraft model. This needs a separate hood above the island. The vents at the back of this model are not downdraft vents. A hood installation adds cost but the total cost was probably still less than installing a new downdraft range which would have required changing the floor vent location and wiring with 220V power. Plus we would have lost the gas oven when switching to the new downdraft range. The oven is also much bigger without the downdraft.
