Stove needs a little room in the back for venting. I do not think it would work if it is a tight fit.

Yes. However it would be best to have some sort of hood. Most downdrafts are not strong enough for that many btu's anyway.

You need range hood, you cannot use a popup downdrafts like "Broan" with a Slide In Range.

Thanks for your interest. The NX58H9500WS neither has nor requires a downdraft for venting. It's fine to install it in an island; instructions can be found in the Installation Guide that comes with the Range. - Ms. Samsung
