• Stove needs a little room in the back for venting. I do not think it would work if it is a tight fit.

• Yes. However it would be best to have some sort of hood. Most downdrafts are not strong enough for that many btu's anyway.

• There were no specific ventilation requirements indicated other than standard range safety issues.

• You need range hood, you cannot use a popup downdrafts like "Broan" with a Slide In Range.

• Thanks for your interest. The NX58H9500WS neither has nor requires a downdraft for venting. It's fine to install it in an island; instructions can be found in the Installation Guide that comes with the Range. - Ms. Samsung
