• It's more of an app. Some websites will load their mobile versions, so it is still a good idea to have a pc or Mac connected just in case of web browsing.

• I believe the answer is yes, full web browser. My older Samsung wouldn't go to some sites or incompatible to play movies from some sites...on this model I could go to any site I tried and also play movies from sites that I could not before, so I think it's full web browser and has video players the older versions didn't have
