• I don't know if the analog/digital difference affects the picture quality, but I bought the 6290 and returned it because I was not happy with the picture quality. I bought a "digital" Sony (which cost $300 more) and the picture was much better than the Samsung 6290.. But, I don't know if the difference was because it is digital, or because of the manufacturer.
