Yes. This monitor can handle it. There is a bit of a trade-off though if you split the screen into two inputs. If you want the highest level of gaming performance, then it is most optimal to just dedicate the whole screen to your gaming session. If you can accept some compromise with your gaming performance, then it works perfectly fine to split the monitor between work and gaming.
