“firmware upgrade PN58C8000 the BB magnolia rep suggested that the PN58C8000 will have a firmware upgrade from samsung by the end of august. what will the upgrade fix, and can the upgrade be complete though the tv's wireless link? thanks.”

not sure what it will fix if any thing , most likley minor items. but yes it the update can be done through the wireless link.
