“The owner's manual has two different instructions to add the HE detergent. On one note, it says to add the recommended amount detergent to the A compartment and, the note at the bottom recommends to add 2/3 of detergent to the main drum. Which is correct?”

Hi Detergent. Thank you for reaching out regarding your Samsung - 6.0 cu. ft. Total Capacity Smart Dial Washer with FlexWash™ and SuperSpeed Wash on how to add the detergent. Regarding your concern, there would be the steps. To apply cleaning agents to the upper washer: 1. Open the top door, and then the protective cover. Remove the Aqua Pebble from the fabric softener container. 2. Put a recommended amount of liquid or powdered detergent into the provided Aqua Pebble. The Aqua Pebble has a guideline (marked ‘20 ml’) near its top, which is the max line. Do not exceed the max line. 3. Insert the Aqua Pebble around the center of the tub, and then put the laundry over the Aqua Pebble. 4. Add a recommended amount of fabric softener to the softener compartment. Do not exceed the max line. 5. Add a recommended amount of non-chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. Use caution not to overfill the compartment. 6. Close the protective cover, and then the top door. I suggest if you wish to use a pedestal you may want to get our front load washer and dryer. Do not exceed the max line. 3. Add a recommended amount of fabric softener to the softener compartment. Do not exceed the max line. 4.
