• I don't think so. Not enough added benefits. You can't even tell the difference of the slight increase in size of the drum. In fact, I actually like the mechanical display on the 9600, where you push a button to select your choice of settings, vs the touch screen on the 9900 model. Also, it is less costly to repair the control panel on the 9600 because it is mechanical. Go with the 9600 model
