• Yes it is. It programs the Samsung remote to work with DirecTV and it also recognizes which HDMI connector it uses.......during setup.

• Yes, Samsung is the only brand that 4K content from Directv works on too.

• Yes, but I had Geek Squad install my TV. I would recommend their installation.

• We have directv and it works fine. Be careful if you have HBO though because directv and this TV don't get along very well sometimes. It will tell you that you can't watch those channels with an hdmi because they think you are a hacker basically. If you can get around that it's fantastic!!
