Personally, I would never mount a tv above a fireplace that gets any kind of use. My 65" is on a stand close to a fireplace that does get some use. I put a small fan behind the tv to move the heat away from the tv. Where are you getting your power from? The ac cord is separate from the one connect box (fyi, in case you haven't purchased yet). Sticky back Velcro should work. I used it to mount the one connect box and a four hub usb to the back of entertainment center. Not sure about the mount. I did not use the ugly chrome feet. Purchased a universal center stand that adjusts up and down and swivels. Great tv btw. Goodluck.
