Amazing picture!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is all picture with it's tiny frame, and the picture is simply amazing, especially the 4k content. I've had this TV for about 4 weeks now. Hanging it was the hardest part (definitely a 2 person job). Set up was easy. It recognized my cable box and the Xbox immediately and I just had to input the receiver brand. The picture itself needed few adjustments. The remote is small and takes some getting used to since there are no numbers on it. Since my TV is hanging on the wall, having the one connect setting on the shelf under it means it is a lot easier to make changes (add/remove equipment). I'm glad I waited to upgrade my old DLP HDTV to this 4k.

Great Picture, Terrific Apps, Okay Sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV as a replacement for an 8 year old, 46 inch Samsung HD TV. That TV served us well and had a terrific picture. Seldom was someone in the house when it was on and they did not comment on it. This one exceeds that picture! We have had it for about a month and have watched our old DVDs, cable TV, Hula and Amazon movies. Stunning picture! Watching true 4k content, unbelievable! However, the sound when not running through my AVR system can seem muddled at times. Tried working with Samsung support on several minor setup issues and they were worthless. None-the-less, this is a great TV and my experience says we will enjoy for a long time. The set itself is beautiful, very thin and with virtually no bezel. Looking forward to having the geek squad come out after a burn-in period to obtain the best results with a final calibration!

Fair Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased 65" TV for 2016 Christmas. Used for 5 weeks. The TV has some great features, and I'd give a 5 star rating if they always worked reliably which they do not. Specifically, the remote, integrated streaming apps, and audio search feature. I really like the simple small design and solid feel of the remote, but it's a modest Universal remote which syncs with my Xfinity cable box, but doesn't always work. Button mashing to trying and change a channel or open the guide occur often and so I'm regularly changing over to the Xfinity remote. The integrated smart TV applications don't always load and just spin at the load screen specifically Spotify and to a lesser degree Amazon Prime, and Netflix. (My TV is hardwired via Ethernet and I've excellent speeds, but that has no bearing.) So, again I'm often switching to my 4 year old Roku and that works perfectly every time, even with WIFI connection. The TV remote has a terrific feature - voice search. Simple and easy to use. Just hold the button, say what your want, and the TV will produce a search result of what you said, typically of streaming sources it finds. It's quick...when it works, which for me is about 50% of the time. To fix Voice recognition problem, I need to power cycle the TV (unplug the power completely.) This resolves the Voice recognition/search problem for a day or so, but upon reconnecting power cable, the TV loses it's preset configuration to other components, such as my home Theater Receiver, and you have to go through the paring setup process again. Reconfiguring is not complicated and it's quick, but still... Picture quality is only as good as it's source. Upscaling is fine, but obviously the perfect 4K vids they play in the stores are the ideal. Most of my content is via cable TV and Streaming, and high def and 4k content look excellent. I don't have a 4K player, but Blu-ray content looks incredible. The room is very bright during the day (daylight), and this TV is great for a bright room. The screen doesn't reflect window light as I though it might, so that's terrific. At night however, the screen is too bright for a dimly lit room as configured, so I tend to change the settings at night or turn a bunch of lights on. It would be great to have a feature which auto detects the room brightness (like a smartphone) with some user control to tailor the brightness levels. The appearance of the TV is great. It looks expensive... small V shaped chromed stands and small bezel. In conclusion, I like the TV, but would love it if the remote maintained connection to it's other devices, the audio search worked reliably, and all the smart TV streaming apps loaded consistently as my $50 Roku.

Best TV I have seen next to OLED
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent a great deal of my time over the past 2 years researching what TV was going to replace my Plasma screen that I have grown to love. Problem with tech, like you all know, is that new stuff is constantly being added thus making perfectly good tech obsolete in a short amount of time. My Plasma cost me almost 2k at the time I got it and it was by far the best screen available, still is in my opinion, but this 4k offering from Samsung is a very close 2nd in overall quality. Now there is no beating the LG OLED at this moment but who has 4-8k to spend on a TV that will be old news in a few years. My goal in mind was to buy a TV that would be future proof with a min of 4 years. So it had to have 4K, & HDR both of which this TV has and does flawlessly. There are enough settings to make this TV look and feel however you want, plus there are websites all over the internet that will show you how to set up this beautiful screen. In the showroom it looks amazing, at home with some time and patience you can make it look even better. I bought the 4K Xbone to go with it and played madden in up converted 4k and wow it’s amazing. Forza Horizons 3 came out this week and it is the first HDR game and it is by far and away the most beautiful game I have ever played. A lot of you have been waiting on 4k, but now is the time, prices have come down, both the Xbox and PS4 soon will carry 4K content, and the TV itself is able to stream 4k flawlessly out of the box from You tube and Netflix. The Tv does not do much when it comes to up converting a bad Comcast signal but even my Sunday football games are noticeably better. Some may look at the price and say there are cheaper 4k units, yes that is true but do the research if you want a screen that can do everything that is being offered at the moment this is it. All the other cheepo boxes don’t offer 4k at 60fps, don’t offer HDR, have watered down colors, don’t get blacks right, have bad motion interpolation, bad viewing angles, and are used with cheap LCD screens. Read the reviews you will see what I mean. This is a bezel-less 1 inch in total thickness screen, its top notch stuff here folks and you will see that once you turn it on the first time. But you must calibrate the screen properly to get the best experience! Also get a 4k receiver if you don’t already have one. I made the mistake of spending thousands on my sound system 2 years ago only to have to replace my receiver because it won’t take an HDMI 2.0 signal, thus I have to a bunch of special wiring to make it all work and thus its very tacky. If you plan on running your stuff straight into the TV, you will be fine. Enjoy this fine offering from Samsung you can’t find anything better for the price!

Superior picture-sound ok
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You better buy a soundbar or have supplemental sound if you listen to music/concerts. Max setting @100 just begins to jam, produces min bass @max bass setting. Listen to movies @60, news @50, if house is very quite can get by @35 on news broadcast all with no soundbar. My Vezio 4ch wireless Soundbar supplements all viewing except news with excellent results, woofer and left/right speakers sit behind couch. Movies/concerts at half to three quarter setting on soundbar, rarely full volume unless muffled broadcast (watch out for commercials). Rtings.com will give you the most complete technical info to select the best tv. I bought this one with a 6 outa 10 score on rtings.com. for picture quality. After research and 2 years of use there is no other tv I would rather have. Best picture ever. FYI, set color manually on a live broadcast Golf Tournament, it has the most vivid greens, blues and reds, also neon color clothing in audience. These colors are easy to over do, presets are too much or too little as are a couple other settings, use dynamic etc... rtings.com can help with settings also. PICTURE REALLY POPS !!!!!!! BADASS, especially nature shows!

HDR was worth the wait
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I missed out on the Black Friday sales last year so I postponed upgrading my TV until this year and I am so glad I did. Was able to compare last year's version of this set without HDR side by side with this year's model with HDR. Major difference in the picture's richness and realism and so worth the wait. I often adopt new technology too soon and in this case I'm glad that my being cheap won out over my desire to be first because after seeing this picture there is no way I would be satisfied with anything less. Overall style A+,Picture A+, Ease of setup A+, Price A+. You can't lose with this TV.

Superb 4K Experience!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a TV for my man cave, I had my this exact set for a month or so; when it randomly went on promotion for $500 cheaper than the 60" counterpart, I had no choice but to purchase. I haven't looked back since. Pros: Design is stunning (as expected from Samsung) Picture quality (2nd to none) Feature rich (Netflix, Plex, Hulu, Amazon, and much more) Xbox One S (auto detects 4k HDR mode) games look ridiculously crisp and vibrant. Viewing angles are fantastic Mounting is a breeze with the included instructions. Seriously, this has become my got o TV in the house over my main living room set (Sony Bravia XBR 4K). You will NOT regret buying this TV. I am one of the pickiest people on the planet when it comes to technology. I am very critical and very rarely review or gloat over anything -until now. I want to show this off when people come over. I want to show them HDR Blurays and XB1 footage, I just can't enough of this thing. I have been through every major brand (Samsung, Sony, LG, Vizio) and none hold a candle to what Samsung has put out lately. They have even outdone themselves. Cons: Literally ONE - the software becomes laggy after a month or so (navigation of inputs and smart apps). However, I will not dock a star because this can easily be software related and fixed. Also, I did notice much better performance once I hardwired the TV vs the Wi-Fi built in. It isn't enough to dock a star though. I am one VERY happy customer.

Quality at the right price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I must start this review by disclosing I haven't bought a TV in 17 year. My Panasonic 32 inch tube TV was working, not in HD but working. At the behest of everyone I know and every Brighthouse guy that walked through my door "hey lady... you know eventually we're not going to stream in analog anymore and this things not going to work". Shade from the Brighthouse guy started 2 months of research to find the best TV. This brings me to the Samsung 8000 series... in all my research I don't believe you can find better quality for the price. If you are buying only on price ... your going to end up with a Vizio and be disappointed like many I know and the reach I've done. Make sure your comparing all the features. That's where the Samsung is going to win every time. I started my research in early January. Most people believe Black Friday $1599 is the best time to buy. That's not necessarily true. I set alerts on my phone to track buying prices and the week of Super Bowl $1499 was as low if not lower price point. The big electronics show happens in February and they launch the next years models. So if you missed the price drop at Super Bowl be patient... many people buy and return it's a nasty consumer habit but if you've waited this long you don't want to take a chance on someone else open box TV. Let all those TV's clear the market and the last week in March / first week in April that's when the new sets ship to stores and they slash prices on last years models ... watch the inventory because once their gone there is no more. Retail price $2100 Purchase price $1489 on 4/4/17. Can you get a 65 inch cheaper? sure but will it have the quality of the 8000 series... probably not. If you missed the 8000 series this year the 9000 series is just as impressive. I'm a Dave Ramsey follower, I pay in cash and while 9000 series was not smart / affordable this year, take a look at its price February of 18.

Q: QuestionWhat's the difference between JU, JS & KS series?
Asked by Tucson.
- A:Answer The J or K represents the model year. The K series is the new 2016 model. The U vs S, is Samsung's indicator of UHD and their higher end SUHD models.

Q: QuestionCan this TV be wall mounted?
Asked by magmike.
- A:Answer Yes this set can be wall mounted. It weighs considerable less than previous 65 inch models. See the attached photo of the mounted TV that I took immediately after I ran the hidden wiring and placed on to the mount. Regarding the hidden wiring, this set uses a connection system that Samsung calls "One Connect". It is a small unit that you run all of your, non-power, wires through so that you actually only have one wire going to the set. This simplified the fishing of the wires (only one instead of 4 - 6, and if I add another component I just hook it up to the One Connect box and done!

Q: QuestionCan the width of the legs be adjusted so that they are closer together?
Asked by NDSAM.
- A:Answer Yes they can. I almost didn't buy this wonderful set because the feet were too wide, but a Samsung rep showed me alternate slots closer to the middle. In that position the width between the feet is just under 40"

Q: QuestionHow far do you need to sit away from screen to have optimal viewing?
Asked by km.
- A:Answer We sit about 6-8 feet back and have no visual issues at all. With 4K, you can sit much closer that you normally would with standard HD. The higher pixel count allows this.
