A:Answer Yes-it accepts a normall coaxial cable. I used a small flat powered antenna i purchased at Best Buy- it is reversible (white on one side and black on the other). Once connected, the TV scanned the airwaves and came up with dozens of channels -many are HD and look better than my old Spectrum cable box picture. I have not bothered with ordering cable in this house / the Smart TV capabilities and this unit make it very easy to connect to Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, etc. so I only use a high-speed Internet connection with Wi-Fi from the cable company. Sometime I will get a larger HD antenna for the attic but this is working fine for now, and I plan to switch to the same set up at my other house. The reception here is very good because I am only about 12 miles from downtown LA, but I know I will need a more powerful antenna for my house in Corona because of the more distant location and hilly terrain. But as far as the connection on the TV-it is awesome and saving me a lot of money per month. This is a great TV and is very intuitive in terms of Bluetooth connection to a sound bar and utilizing the HD source from an antenna, and of course works really well with an Apple TV or any other HDMI device. The antenna is completely hidden behind the TV as you can see in the picture.
