The difference is on Series 7 models the refresh rate is at 120 Hz while Series 8 models have a 240Hz refresh rate. Series 8 models have better contrast than Series 7 models.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no 240hz refresh rate. Motion rate 240 means 120hz @ 1080p and most likely 1440p, however at 4k (3840x2160 resolution, or 2160p) the refresh rate is only 60hz. Some of the brand new top-tier tv's can do 120hz at 4k, but that's expensive. Don't worry - 60 frames per second is milky smooth and realistic looking, and you don't need to go any higher unless you're a competitive gamer or something (and even then, it's still arguable).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The screen on the 8 has a better anti glare feature.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mainly the native refresh rate, which is 60hz on the 7 and 120hz on the 8 series. If you play games, you will notice this feature a bit more than if you just watch tv. (especially if you use it for pc games)
