Excellent TV so far
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Originally I purchased a 55” Sony x800g tv and it came with crappy android tv. It was 3 weeks in and started not connecting to the internet or the apps so I returned it and got this 65” Samsung RU8000. The Samsung actually has a better picture, the remote controls all my devices and the smart features are simple to operate but I still prefer the Apple TV system. The picture quality is amazing once you set it to movie mode, color to 25, sharpness to 15, and gamma to 2.2 and it will give you beautiful color. Sound...well I have a Vizio 5.1 soundbar so I’m good there and again the tv remotes also operates my soundbar. This is the first tv I had that has a truly universal remote and I love it. No issues yet but I hope it last at least 5 years since it was $882 when I got it.

Well rounded Excellent T.V.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was shopping for a new T.V. here. I wanted something great for gaming and streaming. This Samsung 8 series is the one. I love all the features and the crisp screen with bright colors. wanted something bigger then my old 46inch Samsung. So went with a 65inch. You cant go wrong. Been buying samsung all my life and they never let me done. I would highly recommend you to get this t.v. and you cant beat the price either.

Best TV I’ve ever owned
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went from a 55inch 1080p standard HD Vizio to a 55inch TCL 6series 4K UHD, HDR, Dolby Vision, TV and I thought that was it can’t get any better than this for under $1000, then I wanted a 65 inch tv with a budget of $1500, I decided on the Samsung and couldn’t believe the difference in picture quality over the TCL, the smart features of the tv made navigating my audio receiver much easier, it automatically reads hdmi inputs and allows you to control input devices with the remote. I can can go on and on about how great this tv is but I’ll just sum it up, BUY IT!

Amazing!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.not only is the quality of this television top notch but it actual exceeds expectations. The remote is of a modern minimalistic style yet very intuitive to use. Television set up was facilitated by the mobile phone app. Picture and sound are of impressive quality. We originally budgeted for a sound bar but now find we have no need for one with the quality of speakers this television has. The ease of use with all of our favorite streaming apps makes finding something to watch a pleasure. Can not recommend this television highly enough especially at this price point. One last note for gamers is the refresh rate is amazing.

Great TV - Truly Smart
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is great. I know people have a lot of strong feelings about modern TVs (i.e. good for gaming vs movie watching) but we were working from a 2015 Panasonic that was minimally smart and mostly dumb. This TV connects quickly to apps and I was able to download a lot of apps that weren't already loaded. We have Directv and were able to download the app to add it to the list of apps to choose from. Although we still use the Directv remote for ease, the TV remote could be used with Directv as well. The picture quality is great but our TV is near a window so have had to play around with the brightness depending on the time of day. We were between this series of TVs or the letter series Samsungs that were more pricey - I don't regret our choice.

Great Upgrade!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased this 65" 8 series to replace my 6 series that was only two years old. At first I didn't think there was much difference but, once I made some pictures adjustments and watched something in 4k, I was sold! The blacks are deeper, colors are more vibrant, and the motion is crisp. Samsung's updated UI is also great and easy to use.

Pretty awesome tv
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv works well. The picture is great and the web access To say netfix hulu etc Is a smoothe transition with no hanging up. Im pretty happy with my tv so far but wish the remote was different. A bigger more detailed remote would have been nice for this level of tv but its ok. The price 799 was a good entry point w 300 off on sale pre black friday. This year i bought my tech stuff all bestbuy like my echo show. Echo dot ring bells and bose earbuds. Buying this tv you wont go wrong Next level up in price for a 65 tv would be 1200-1500 uhd.

Great TV for the money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV when it went on sale for 599. I will disclose that my family has the same 75 inch version. And I believe this 2019 model to be better than the 2020 version. It has all the features that I needed. Apple airplay, Bluetooth, and smart TV apps. I mounted it on a cart and can wheel it around the home nicely. It seems to be plenty bright for me. The largest drawback is the black levels. They are not as deep as I would like them. But then again you have to remember this was a $600 television. So you’re not going to get everything you want at that price point. For me it was the right balance and trade off. But if you really need deep blacks you’re going to need to pay more money and move on up in the class.

Q: QuestionI am choosing between a UN65RU8000 (65 inch Premium UHD LED) and a QN55Q70R (55 inch QLED), both from Samsung. My previous TV was an 11 year old 42 inch Toshiba LCD. Both TVs same price. Recommendations?
Asked by Msacs.
- A:Answer Go for the RU8000 - I just bought the 65" and it's a amazing. And it displays bright HDR colors just fine, and general HDR color looks amazing on it. The pros of the Q70R are primarily the full array backlight which allows for local dimming and brightening, and of course the "Q color" they all have now. The color on the RU8000 looks 99.9% as good as the Q70R. The Q70R and others also seem to be slightly less sharp, almost like upscaled content vs native 4k content but not as noticable. I only notice because I'm a huge nerd when it comes to image quality. I went to Best Buy 5 different times to compare all of these TV's before I made my choice. Also, the 65" is so massive that it feels like a theater while a 55" is still very big, but not as immersive.

Q: QuestionWhat would the better of the two Samsung 65" TV's. UN65RU8000FXZA or UN65RU7100FXZA
Asked by EJ.
- A:Answer UN65RU8000FXZA is better. Samsung UN65RU8000 comes with better backlighting, more advanced color technology and more fluid refresh rate technology. So if you are looking for more vibrant contrast, richer color details and more fluid motion images while you don’t mind to spend higher for that, then Samsung UN65RU8000 is the model that you should choose.

Q: QuestionWhat is the distance of the mounting stand? My tv table is only 47” wide and want to know if it will fit
Asked by Width.
- A:Answer While not suggested to use 47'' wide stand, we are and it works fine but its obvious we need a bigger stand. The tv stand itself is 41'' so you want to be careful that your stand can really support it. We have been using a stand this size for 2 months now but plan to replace it closer to the end of the year with a properly sized one.

Q: QuestionI'm undecided between this tv and a 6 series 75 inch. Would I be better off going with the smaller screen but 8 series or bigger screen but 6 series ?
Asked by Eddylious.
- A:Answer When comparing the 6 series to the 8 series it is a pretty big difference . It you want quality ... but a smaller 8 series , if you mostly watch just general tv with light action or not hd and not sports ... you would be ok with a 6 or 7 series. If you play console games on it ... buy the 8 or higher series ... I have all three 6, 7,,8. The 8 is better tv for gaming and watching sports and action movies.

Q: QuestionWhat is the true refresh rate? And the answer is not 240! That is a processed rate from the picture processor, not the true rate. No TV in this price range can have a true rate of 240.
Asked by HTR46.
- A:Answer This TV has a 120Hz refresh rate.
