“What happens with this TV in a dark room: is art always displaying when the TV is powered off? Does the art dim to near or complete darkness? Can it easily & reliably be fully turned off in a bedroom that we want blacked out when going to bed?”

The settings will allow you to adjust the darkness (as bright as you want even in dark, or if you want it to reflect the lighting conditions and go completely dark if the room is dark.

You can set this up many different way. I have mine set up to go off if there is no movement in the room and when the tv senses movement the art will show on the tv, otherwise the tv is off until i turn it on

And, there is a setting you can enable to turn off the TV completely if the lights in the room are off (Night mode). Art is NOT always displaying when the TV is powered off. There is a sleep timer, there is a Motion Detector (which will put your TV into completely OFF mode or wake it up) and a Night Mode. You can customize IF and WHEN the art displays. No issues if this is in a bedroom.
