• Great question! No, you do not have to use the steam features of this model. All other functions will continue to operate as normal, even without a water line connection. However, it is important to note that attempting to run one of the steam cycles without a water connection could cause internal damage to the dryer. But not to worry, all the steam cycles are labeled on the control panel. ^Jecca
