No, you probably can not install it behind the tv, but the Samsung box is not big at all, it's just long. It's about the size of the connect, for the xbox.

I believe the remote is picked up off this box so as long as u can aim the remote at it. I don't know own the dimensions off the top of my head. I'm not home now answering this question.

Please try again later.We did the same.. we have ours above our fireplace.. and we didn't have any room on our mantel but since we also have a cable box and blu ray player.. we have all 3 boxes on a small TV stand right to the side of the mantel. The "One Connect" box is the smallest of the 3.. very narrow and VERY integral in how easy to configure and operate this TV is. And the Geek Squad guys did a great "in the wall" install of all cables so we have no cable clutter. It works! This TV is simply breathtaking. You won't watch TV the same again.
