QuestionHow far away should a couch be from a 75 inch tv? The better quality does it put out more radiation? I'm about 10 to 12 feet away from my 55 inch but I would like to purchase a 75 inch

- Answer It depend on preference, but our TV sits about 14' from where we sit and that allows the viewer to see the whole screen without having to turn head as if on the front row of a theater. Compared to older DLP it is much brighter, but this is an adjustable setting and should be altered to suit the environment in which the TV is used most. I.e. Cave watching(dark room) requires much less light output than an illuminated room with windows. As far as radiation goes I couldn't guess at a calculable amount, but LED tvs produce less than older CRT types. Likely more from cell phone held up to ear all the time.

QuestionI have a really dumb question. How big is the shipping box that it comes into. I need to pick one up next week I don’t think it will fit in my car. But it’s always better to ask. I’m getting the 75 ich . What’s the box measurement

- Answer Not much larger than actual dimensions listed in the specs. Layed flat in my dodge caravan with back and middle seats down/out. It would fit in any full size suv maybe with seats down. It will not fit in any sedan or smaller. It might fit in a mid size suv.

QuestionWhat's the refresh rate, not the motion rate.

- Answer Understanding motion rate and native motion requires understanding of what it's doing. This is the shortest answer I can give you: most sources only support 60hz this includes 4k sources at this time. This TV does 240MR as to improve the picture motion quality. Technically you could dumb it down to 120hz native, but isn't the best idea because the MR only helps the overall quality. If you are questioning the performance - I can tell you that my 75 Q7F has almost no motion clipping or blurring. I do run my TV with high end HDMI cables from Audioquest.

- Answer The “T” shaped stand is 17” deep and 40” wide. My stand is 24 x 50 and is the perfect size.

- Answer I did, and they were very close in picture. The Samsung got a bit brighter, while the Sony had better blacks (to me anyway). As far as full color goes, the Samsung edged the Sony out, but just by a little. However let your eyes be the judge.

QuestionI would be installing this tv above my fireplace mantel. This one box thing concerns me. I have no room for anything on my mantel. How big is this box? Can I install it behind the tv?

- Answer No, you probably can not install it behind the tv, but the Samsung box is not big at all, it's just long. It's about the size of the connect, for the xbox.

- Answer How much do you want to buy? Extended warranty comes in bite sized chunks. General answer is $1000 for 5 years Delivery depends on how far away you live. Installation depends on how it will be mounted - - on the wall, in a crevice, or on a stand You need to crisp up your questions and ask an installer for the correct answers.

QuestionI'm thinking about getting the 75 inch Q7, but want to know if there is a timer on it. I often fall asleep watching and would like to know if I can set it to shut off after let's say an hour so it wouldn't be on while I'm asleep. Thanks for your help.

QuestionHow does the 75 inch Q7F look on regular cable? Specifically sports. I bought a 75 inch Sony 850E last year and returned it because on regular cable watching football or any show really looked bad. My 6 year old Samsung 1080p looked so much clearer.

QuestionJust purchased this TV but I received a plastic remote rather than the metal one. I thought all Q series come with a metal remote. That's what I see in the demo and online. Can anyone please help with what kind of remote they received with there TV. Thank

- Answer Ours came with the standard ( but simplified ) plastic remote and it works fine. However, we bought a Logitech Harmony remote and control the TV and all the peripherals with the one remote. Sort of expensive but, now I've added one more remote to my drawerful of them and only need one for all the features and functions of all the components. Hurray for simplicity!!

QuestionIs there a big difference between this and the 9? Not sure I want to spend that much again unless there’s a big difference. We have a 7+ yr Samsung that I did pay over 7k for and it has been great. But time for a new one.

- Answer We did see a difference in the whites (white dog against snow) and blacks of the Q9 over the Q7, but some images we actually preferred on the Q7 and chose to buy that in a larger (75" vs 65") set. Then the first set delivered had a dead pixel but Best Buy replaced it.

- Answer I viewed this TV on 4/11/17 in there Mankato, MN store. It was on the back wall next to an LG OLED. I actually was there in part to view the LG because I've been wanting one for awhile. Although they were both just running a looped demo I was very surprised at the black levels on the Samsung, something the OLED's excel at. The Samsung also seemed to be brighter and have more vibrant colors. In short its making me rethink my next TV purchase, maybe wait until the Samsung's go on sale.
