• Yes it should work and should be backwards compatible. I've read forums that stated so and tested it.

• I have a couple years old Onyoko that has Arc only and works fine with my speaker system on hdmi 3

• Hi Brian! HDMI port number 3 will support ARC as well as eARC; you can connect your receiver to this port without any issues! ^Gina
