That being said....my sofa is at 10 feet--the TV is above the fireplace. We did a SLIGHT tilt. The kitchen is in back of the small living/family room and separated by a half wall. I watch from there often and the back of the kitchen is over 15.5 and the picture is great. Hope this helps.
