Oh wow, it looks like you have some serious research to do. This TV is neither. It is an OLED and every pixel is its own light source. OLEDs do not have back lights or edge lights.

Flatlander - OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) panels have self-lit pixels. This allows the TV to control the colors of individual pixels to create life-like colors. It also allows the TV to turn individual pixels on and off to create perfect blacks for incredible contrast when viewing HDR content. ~ Samsung Specialist
