It should work fine. As long as it has a SATA connection. I've replaced many mechanical HDD's on macbooks with SSD's. it's the easiest thing to do for a performance boost. On a mac though you might have TRIM issues. I've purchased third party TRIM applications in the past to keep the drive at optimum performance. I have not reviewed TRIM compatibility lately with the latest version of the OSX. I remember about a year ago having to tweak my preferences and security to get the trim app working.I'm about to purchase this same drive for my daughters 2011 macbook pro. I'm sure it will be fine.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It does not. It would not even show up on recovery mode, and I tried various different things. I even tried hooking it up to an iMac using an external HD reader, then formatting it to Mac IOS, but that didn't work either
